I don't think that crowbar trick will work on a good Kryptonite U- lock. There is a good video on http://www.youtube.com that show a guy prying open a U-lock with a hydraulic jack. The lock bent up all over the place
before finally giving up. After watching that video, its fairly obvious, at
least to me, that pressure with a long crowbar is not going to give you the pressure and control necessary.
