"Wes" told me the right way to mount barend shifters (involving pipe cutters!).

Like any good rule there are exceptions. Before you trim a lovely pair of vintage bars look at your hands.

Several people in the day and presently have informed me that I should trim 1/2 to 3/4 inches off handlebars but I have found my big hands just don't want that to happen to any bar.
