Subject: [CR]Information sought about Dutch Crown bicycles

Hello all: 40+ years ago I was given a bike which has a head badge indicating that it's a "Crown" and was built in Holland. This is not a high dollar bike, just a pleasant, run of the mill machine. It started life as a single speed bike but my brother and I upgraded it to a 3 speed hub. As a teenager I crashed it head first into a cinder block wall and bent the top and down tubes. I've decided to fix up the old bike (I'm a sentimental fool) and would like to learn a little about the manufacturer. Has anyone heard of a Crown bike? I've done a little trolling on the web but have found nothing about a Dutch made Crown. However it appears that a Japanese company, also named Crown, made components such as chainrings, brake cables, etc. I don't know if the Dutch and Japanese companies are related or not. Any information will be appreciated.
