I'll bite and show a photo of my former 3Rensho that I believe exhibits un-thinned lugs. They are short point lugs, and although they don't show any signs of thinning, it didn't bother me. The seat lug was also left virtually unthinned. The lugs were was one of the first things I noticed when I received the frame. I've built a few racing frames while I owned an LBS back in the early 80's. FYI, I used cast lugs exclusively, and I did most of my lug thinning before I brazed them up. I own this bike now and never even thought about the lugs not being "thin" enough. I always thought it was a very nicely made bike with simple, clean, square lug work. Nothing more than it would need to be for a journeyman trackie. Still probably nicer than any other bike I've owned. There's some more pics of this bike here (although no close-ups of the headlug):
