Tres provocative and a very cool bike.? Clearly, this is an historical bicycle.? But that begs the question of what should be done with it. You could 1.? Keep it in your garden, 2. Store it as a museum piece, or 3. Restore it to it's original and historical state as much as is possible.?
I think I'd opt for restoration, not in the sense of repainting or making significant changes, but restoring as many original parts as possible.? Along with that process documenting the history of this bike through photographs, interviews or whatever primary source documents that may be available.? The glory of this bike is not so much in the aesthetics of it's construction, but in the heroism of those who rode it.? That's got to be part of the restoration process.

Having had a fair bit of mail pointing out that I'm being controversial and provocative, I have decided to stick to safe subjects. Like :is a bike historical because it is a TDF winner ? Can other anonymous bikes be historical and worth preserving ? And should they be restored or left alone ?
