Ben,
I don't know if it's still open (it was 10 years ago), nor
do I know if they still have decently classical stuff, but
Romeo Sport in Rome was a cool shop. The address is Via Torino
#5. It's near the central train station, and also near the
famous church, Santa Maria Maggiore.
As for Puglia... I can't recall the names of spcific shops
but there will be dozens of "hole in wall" shops (and I mean
that literally in some cases) that will still have a few
interesting old racing bikes around. You just have to start
talking to the proprietors and say a few magic words like Coppi
or Cinelli. Beyond that, she should just enjoy the scenery,
especially the villages with trulli style houses.
Ciao,

\r?\n> My girly-friend is off to Rome and the Puglia region next
\r?\n> week and she
\r?\n> asked me about bike shops to visit.
\r?\n>
\r?\n> Wondering if there's any cool places you cats recommend with
\r?\n> perhaps
\r?\n> some on topic content or at least some atmosphere of the
\r?\n> classic days?
\r?\n>
\r?\n> thanks, Ciao
