I checked my three various editions of Sutherland's. They say the early Lambert cranks had 7/8 x 24 TPI extractor thread, while Viscount had Campy-type 22 x 1. If the arms were just rebadged TA, they would have been 23 x 1. It seems hard to believe that TA would have made arms for Lambert/Viscount which were Identical to TA Cyclotourist except for a different extractor thread. But of course, a lot of things that Lambert did are hard to believe. I happen to have an early Lambert with the lugged frame. I have the sinking felling the extractor thread is 7/8 x 24 TPI. Anyone have any idea where one could possibly obtain an extractor? I usually try to buy obsolete extractors when I find them (TA, old Stronglight, Campy LH thread) but I don't remember having a Lambert extractor in my collection. Did VAR ever make one to fit Lambert? Of course, If the Lambert cranks live up to their reputation, one can just remove the crank bolts and slide the arm off the axle.

No, I have not, but a long time ago (1974) a friend of mine bought a Viscoun

which had those circular cutouts.

Resurrected from Lambert, and yes, they do have the same bolt pattern. The
Lambert crankarms were stamped Lambert on the back side, but I don't know if
the Viscount arms had any??

Less than TA I would imagine :-)

The Lambert cranks were all parallel taper, and I assume the Viscounts were
as well, but I cannot say with certainty.

I wonder why the seller, who admits the crank came from a Viscount, assumes
it is a TA???

I remember the Lambert cranks simply fell off (after tapping with a plastic
mallet) after removing the crankarm bolts.
All the best...hope it's drier for the DC ride than it is up this way!!
