Dan, That looks great! I use SunTour BarCons on all my derailleur bikes, so it would seem natural.

The FMs gear range just isn't wide enough for me. So I'll be mounting a BarCon on the left side to shift between two cogs with a Huret Svelto RD. Not very appropriate for a 50 y/o bike, but I have to choose between original and useful. It's not pretty enough to hang on a wall, and works too well not to ride. At 26 lbs it's my lightest non-recumbent, so it'll be my go-fast bike. (Go-fast being a relative term in my case :-( )

There seems to be some variation in clamp length as someone else was able to do this. But I'm sure my clamp isn't long enough to use a normal fixing screw with my bars. But off list, Ted Ernst suggested a longer, curved bolt.
