The endorsement for the 1897 saddle expresses wonderfully the enthusiasm of a dedicated and perseverant, but not goal driven cyclist. He/she has "never ridden such a comfortable saddle", having covered 95 miles with just 2 or 3 dismounts. But notice that the rider stopped there, didn't feel compelled to ride just 5 more miles to complete a "century."

What do you suppose this cyclist's average speed might have been? Extra points for a good estimate of his/her power output.
