There are two different pairs on eBay right now, but they're not going cheap.
140073885832 & 140073887578
I don't remember them, and didn't really know about them before I stumbled across these auctions on the weekend. ...what era are they from? ...what purpose do they serve?
I mean, I'm guessing that they're intended to protect shoes from the metal part of the clips (like the leather-covered clips), but do some people actually move their feet around enough when they pedal that this is a major issue? ...or does it keep wind off of shoelaces? How are they better than or different from leather-covered clips?

I've been thinking for a while of making copies of the old Christophe
leather toe clip covers. They look like this:

Does anyone have an old pair to sell that I can use as a pattern? The condition is not important.
Thanks,
Chris
