The seller's comments are refreshingly candid and I must say. I agree with his sentiments as to why would anyone go to this much trouble? Gathering all those bits, brazing, chroming and painting. For what sort of profit?

As to the frame being well made, I guess I would agree that superficially it appears competently brazed up and finished, but look at the chain stays where they insert into the BB shell. It's unintentionally "Bilaminated" due to using the wrong diameter chain stays. And the up-sizing sleeve is cut straight off, as unartfully as I can imagine.

How would you value imitation Hetchins? I was perusing on eBay, as I do, and landed at 130068205501. Although it looks like a lovely frame that's well made I wonder how much it's really worth. Are fake hetchins worthless? Obviously the seller has set a high start price so he doesn't think so. If I was after a Hetchins I wouldn't get a fake no matter how well it's built, owning one would all be about it's originality. What do you think?
