Appears that Tom is correct about the use of the "plain" flat washer on the Pista Super Record headset,,,,,,at least the 1974 catalog illustration shows the same flat-style washer used on the steel headset. I understand that catalog illustrations aren't always accurate representations of the real thing. Nothing is ever "gospel" is it?!?!
Also checked the Super Record Pista headset that is installed on my Condor Path, and it has the "fancy thick" washer (understand this is not a correct period/vintage headset for the Condor, but I purchased it with it on and opted to leave it).
