My bad, it should be Alan only. I had a brain fart and reverted back to my old beliefs. When I first started riding, I thought the road Guercs were Vitus, but then when I finally got a closer look at one, it wasn't a Vitus, but an Alan as Jerry pointed out.
Regardless, my point was that they were pretty open to contracting out stuff.

Are you sure about the Vitus? The CR site has photos of two different Guerciotti-badged ALAN ROAD bikes, and I have seen others. I've never seen a Guerciotti-badged Vitus, although Motobecane, Peugeot and maybe other French manufacturers sold Vitus frames under their names.

At least we know that Guerciotti was not opposed to rebadging
other
bikes. We all know the older aluminum road and cyclocross
Guerciottis
were really Vitus and Alans, respectively.
