it's to clean, by that I mean the bevel it has on the entry, The finish is even with the rest of the caliper. Think about it, if it where done after the fact there would be inconsistencies with how the surrounding metal appears along side the newly drilled and beveled hole.

Can you tell us why you think so? To me it looks decidedly aftermarket, though well done. The mod is one machining step (a simple contersink) followed by replacement of the centerbolt. The bolt itself has a finish that I have not seen on anything from the Campy factory.
Seems OMAS-y to me, but OMAS already had a centerbolt mod. It was more conventional and this isn't it. There is that other company from Bologna that made SL tidbits, but I don't recall their name. Or could it be early ICS?

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the unusual
centerbolts on
the Record calipers in this Ebay auction. It looks like
the arms had to
be modified (countersunk) to accept the bolts. Also, I
see no way to
lock in the centerbolt adjustment, other than tension
from the mounting
nut (no Modolo-style set screw, or Shimano-style
rear-mounted locknut).

Who made the bolts? What material are the bolts? Did
these work?

The calipers are late 70's, or perhaps very early 80's.
Are the bolts
form the same era?
