Hello Listmembers,
first of all, a happy new year to all of you :)
I always thought that searching the web for classic related stuff is a thing that requires knowledge and patience, because many maufacturers are stillin the market and so it is hard to narrow the scope down when you are seeking information for things like "Shimano Dura Ace", because all the new stuff tends to pop up first.
i learned about a function Google provides that allows to create a sort of customized web search. So i created one for classic vintage lightweight racing bikes by adding all the links i have in my bookmark folder. This is a first test...
You can try it out at
http://www.google.com/
(Just type something like "Herse" in the search string field and see what the result is)
it allows to have contributors, so if you think this is a nice idea, you can add websites there too; all that is needed is that myself as owner of the search need to confirm you as contributor.
This search interface can also be added to own websites (Dale? interested? :), though i havent tried that out yet. Contact me if interested! I have opted to keep it ad free (hope this feature stays around).
Do you think it is a good idea to maintain such a thing and keep it up to date? let me know :)
