Now here are some follow-up questions, if one were preparing to reproduce jerseys for different time periods. Does anyone have a timeline for when team names and crests appeared on jerseys? Was it after the austerity of the pre-War and wartime period? How did they change through time?

Also, for the Brits or -philes on the list, when did clubs in the UK start to put their crests and names on them? When racing, did one wear a team named - or maker named - jersey or did one wear one with one's club name on it? How large would the crests have been? What about club insignia on club rides?
