I don't think it will affect how I bid. I do most of my eBay bidding through a perl script that snipes bids at the last moment. I have on occasion found that I have bid against another list member -- after the fact, since I seldom check back after setting up the script to bid for me at my maximum bid. But I'm pretty much a bottom-feeder on eBay; my bids tend to be fairly low and if my sniped bid fails I just try again later when a similar item turns up.
