I saw the frame in question prior to Mike Kone advising on the history he is aware of.

My assessment was, interesting frame, I liked some of the details, wish the ends were better, whoa nelly, whats that band-aid of paint (and possibly bondo) hiding, with all the other braze on bits, which did not surprise me as to the number, I figured that it had a Simplex type of shift boss originally that some owner in the past, had a gorilla remove. I often discount auction descriptions, the images tell more even when carefully choreagraphed.

I kind of place it in a category of that Masi Frame of a few years back that had the welded steerer repair, plain to see no matter what the auction lister states and roll the dice if you want.

Thanks Mike for advising on this, the rebuttal is noted, I think the market will speak. Being aware of some of Mike's collection, his assessment of the build quality of the frame might be more critical than some, as he has some nice stuff at the top end of which to compare against.
