Jerry,

I just dug out my "spec" sheet, which I made many years ago, with several comparisons of various manufacturer's BB spindles. A Superbe Pro BB spindle is, almost, an exact Campagnolo NR/SR clone.

Sectional dimensions for the Superbe Pro: Start: 12.70mm; Mid: 13.15mm; End: 13.55mm

The Campagnolo NR/SR: S: 12.75mm; M: 13.10mm; E: 13.50mm

For comparison(s): Campagnolo C-Record: S: 12.85mm; M: 13.25mm; E: 13.60mm

Shimano UN-91 (Dura-Ace/sealed): S: 12.80mm; M: 13.30mm; E: 13.80mm

And, a Phil Wood, which I returned to them to have new bearings installed and requested a spindle to use with a NR/SR crank: S: 12.80mm; M: 13.50mm; E: 13.90mm

There is also 'offset' to consider: The NR/SR & Suntour Spindles are 31mm/26mm; The Phil is 29mm/24mm

And for the "record" (not Campagnolo!); I generally play around with bottom brackets until I find one which gives me the chainline I want. I think square taper BB spindles had many advantages - too bad they are almost extinct.

Cheers,
