Hi Frank,

What are you trying to get done? Do you need parts or do you need to have some work done?

I don’t know of any bike shops that are really into old bikes in the Atlanta area - but then I don’t get around much - trafic is too congested to venture out beyond the perimeter and I stay intown. There are a few that have some old bikes around as décor - but that's about it. There are plenty of good mechanics around though - and most of them can do a good job on most anything that comes up. I'd be glad to give you a hand with something if it's not too out there - if I'm able.

A shop you might want to consider checking out is the Cartacay bike shop in Ellijay - they still have an in-house brand of steel bikes they sell and the owner has been around a good while and seems to be into traditional/old-timey stuff along with the new. I have meant to get up there - but haven't made it. I've run into the owner over the years at the bike festival the day before the 6 gap ride in Dahlonega - he usually has a vendor tent set up (not this year) and he' always been very helpful and frindly.
