I'm back from L'Eroica (and back to work).

I've posted some photos to a Picasa album that show some of the moments of our great experience traveling over to Italy to ride in the 2007 L'Eroica vintage bike ride. Rita and I flew over early to visit with my sister Sigrid before heading to Gaiole in Chianti for the weekend events.

I would like to comment more and probably will but here are the photos with some captions.

Needless to say, we had a great time and met lots of good people. We succeeded in finishing the 135k in 11.5 hours and felt great about that. It was tough, but that was expected. Sigrid has been riding regularly, but unfortunately on her horses. She got back on the bike in September and really did amazingly well. Rita and I trained some but should have done more hills and more dirt. The urge to stop and take photos of the stunning landscape wore off about halfway through the ride. Sorry.
