Please allow me to introduce myself as a relatively new subscriber. My name is J. Strizek. I live in Sacramento California USA. I have collected, built, scavenged, butchered, repaired, bought, and sold bicycles for nearly 35 years. I have ended up keeping a few more proletarian bikes and regretted selling a few gems. etc., etc. Currently I am seeking information on a couple of odd ducks. 1. Sears bike built in Austria by Puch. Puch was a sometimes contractor for Sears stores in the U.S. The bike is db531 forks and frame. The original color is a metallic yellowish color. There are no braze-ons, not even on the drive side chainstay. Most of the decals are gone except the remains of the Reynolds decals and the Sears made in Austria round decal on the head tube. I am seeking any information as to original equipment I have had it for years and it had a Sugino mighty comp crankset. I do not know if that is original or not. I do not know the year either. 2. Ital Sport Has remains of various Italian reference decals. Not sure if there was a made in Italy decal, or if it is another Japanese rip-off. The frame is relatively light. approximately the same as my old brown Raleigh Professional. It has full braze-ons except only one bottle set. Probably early eighties.

Any help with eithr of these bikes and source for original decals would be appreciated.

I hope to learn a lot from this group. I have briefly followed it.

thank you, J.
