Good day listers,
For your viewing pleasure, as the saying goes, I've added two bikes to my wooljersey album, both of which have some interest I believe.
First one, a 1987 Concorde Astore. Cromor tubing, but a quite striking paint scheme. Would that be the Texas flag? Campagnolo Chorus throughout, and too small for me. Has decorated the living room for some time!

Second, one, a Dutch rarity: a c.1982 Jansen Oomen, in what is called 'cromovelato' paint, and in much better shape than the Wilier I got a month ago. Quite unusual for a Dutch bike I think. Jansen Oomen is a bikeshop in Baarle-Nassau, in the south of the Netherlands. Baarle-Nassau is an oddity in itself: Baarle-Hertog (Belgian) and Baarle-Nassau (Dutch), a jigsaw puzzle composed of over 30 pieces of land, alternating between Dutch and Belgian nationality. Enclaves of both countries. The frame was made in Belgium, by a small builder. The Jansen Oomen shop outsourced to that builder, recommended by the Dutch Colnago importer at the time. The styling of the decals, the chrome lugs, all were 'nicked' from other popular bikes of that time. F.i., the 'Champion du Monde' decal on the headtube is virtually identical tot the 'Champion Mondial' on the Gazelle bikes. Beter goed gejat dan slecht bedacht ... It's my size, so I'll ride it, at least for a while. I think I'll replace everything that offends me with Campy parts!

PS: a third uncommon Dutch bike, a Springfield, is here (its been there for
a while):
