Subject: [CR]RE: PBP equipment survey

Bicycle Quarterly is conducting a survey of the equipment used by American riders in PBP 2007. We want to get real numbers on the equipment riders used, rather than the general impressions we have had in the past. The results of the survey will be published in Bicycle Quarterly and in the RUSA newsletter.

If you rode in PBP this year - whether you finished or not - please take a 2-3 minutes to complete the brief survey at

http://surveys.bikelist.org/pages/survey.aspx?sid=4

The survey will be available only until Sunday, October 21, 2007, so please don't delay filling it out.

To make the numbers meaningful, we need to get as many PBP riders to participate as possible. To make it more interesting, there are a few prizes: every 70th participant will receive a 1-year subscription to Bicycle Quarterly (or a 1-year extension of their existing subscription), and every 150th participant will receive the hardcover book "The Golden Age of Handbuilt Bicycles" with randonneur bikes from 1903 until 2003.

Please forward this message to anybody you know who participated in PBP 2007, for example, forward it to your local randonneuring club's message board. Getting as many people as possible to participate is crucial to get meaningful results.

Thank you.
