Zeus bolt circle was 120mm and would take a 36T ring. 36T rings are rare, but 38T are not so rare. Unfortunately nothing else I know of used the Zeus 120 mm circle. Zeus cranks, like most classic cranks, came in both French and English thread, The typical Zeus double used a 118 mm axle, which was a bit longer than Campy, the same length as the Stronglight double axle. I think I've used Zeus arms on Campy BB's, but I don't guarantee it will work. Zeus has the strange feature of using a 16 mm crank bolt head like Stronglight, but the Campy 22mm extractor thread. This means you need a really thin walled wrench to remove the crank bolts. Many people replace the 16 mm bolts with 15 mm Campy bolts, but I think that ruins the fun.

You mean the Zeus double crankset could take a 36 inner ring? Would I have to change my Super/nuvo Record bb? ( 83 Masi from San Marcos I think it is Italian threaded BB)

I think the Zeus crank gives a close appearance to the Super Record but allows chainrings down to 36T:

Unfortunately, they're scarcer than Super Record and chainrings -- particularly the small ones -- are even harder to find.

The problem with drilling your Campy arms for a smaller bolt circle is that you really need to use it as a triple then, which you stated you'd prefer not to do. You might also consider the Stronglight mod. 93 or 105, which allow rings down to 38T.
