i recently purchased a roma olimpiade frameset of similar era from a listmember and it also lacks any 'legnano' downtube transfers. i suspect this is the way they originally came during this period. my frame is numbered '268' and it is also bears the braze-on specifically for universal mod. 61 brakes.
the seller's memory of the original purchase seems accurate; based on the components it looks to be ca. 1968 or so.. i would expect them all to be original to the bike. the brooks is date stamped '67, looks like it has a 144bcd crankset (introduced ca. 1968), the cable stop on the front mech. was removed ca. 1967 so i imagine yours is the last version with slotted stop and aluminum arms (as opposed to chromed bronze). i'd also guess the NR rear derailleur is the early version (introduced ca. 1967) just marked 'patent'
