Hi, Chip---

I was EXACTLY in your shoes three or so years ago, when I picked up a 1960 Ideor Asso Olimpic as my first back-into-the-vintage-bike-scene cycle. They're a short-lived ('50s-early '60s) marque which sponsored a European race team. They produced a range of five or so racing bikes (plus city bikes), most racers built with Columbus tubing. Lower models used Mannesmann tubing. Very decent machines.

Chuck Schmidt at http://www.velo-retro.com/ sells a repro Ideor catalogue well worth picking up. And DO search the CR Archives at http://search.bikelist.org/

Enter the term "Ideor" in the CR Archive search engine and you'll find my original posts and the MANY helpful responses I received from the great CR folks. I've got a few photos of mine I'll try to dig up for you.

Happy hunting!
