I mailed the list recently about a "pretty pristine" Rudge I'd located. Many people kindly mailed me offering assistance, for which I'd like to thank them.
Today, I went back to take a better look at the machine. On closer inspection, the bike is far from pristine, and maybe a lot later than I suspected.
Whatever the qualities of these Rudges and Raleighs, this isn't a bike I need at the moment, so the poor old girl is going to remain suspended in a cluttered room from a rafter until somebody decides it's time to take her to the scrapyard. Or cuts her up to make a go-kart. Or something.
As a sort of pre-postumous hommage to the bike, I've uploaded some pics to http://membres.lycos.fr/
Well, we can't save them all, can we ?
