Hi Peter, Thanks for all the cool links ('54 team, rankings, jersey)! None other t han Raphael Geminiani on team Ideor! Have been reading about him in the Golden Age of Cycling. Bobet's right hand man, known as the Big Gun, I b elieve (for his tendency to say whatever was on his mind!). Will forward pics when I can. Still looking for a action shot of someone riding one of these babies. Maybe if I zoom in real close on one of those pics.. Bill Ungar Torrance, CA

Hi, Bill---

Actually, with the mention of the 1946 track bike...[Here's the link on CR, which I don't believe was on there back when I was searching]:

http://www.classicrendezvous.com/images/bike%20shops/cupertino/31.JPG

...you've just added to my very small knowledge base of Ideor, as I did not know their bikes extended back in time to the early post-War period. I think the previously earliest Ideor I'd heard of was a '51.

Back when I was searching the Web I literally followed about 10 major search engines' "Ideor" links for hundreds and hundreds of pages, to the bitter end. Little info was to be had.

As to the Ideor race team... the little I know can be found at the pages below. They exited in 1954 at least, as a Spanish team, and the Spanish rider Salvador Botella Rodrigo rode for them, as this site shows [first rider on the page]:

Their overall points total as a team may be found here:

And for a shot of the simply super purple and white Ideor team jersey, you can turn to this LÂ’erocia site---

Man, would I love to have one of THOSE!

A limited wool run, anyone????

Cheers,
