My 92H is stamped "Made in France" and has a nose engraved "Made in
France" also. The saddle lacks a rear badge and is stamped "Idèale". I
assume this is a "real" one despite the lack of a rear badge. Possibly
made near the end?
The 92 D says "French Design" and is also stamped "Idèale" on the rear. But it also has a nose assembly engraved "Made in France". Is it possible that someone bought a lot of saddle frames after the company went under and then fabricated their own leather tops?
At any rate, the construction, appearance and finish on both is top drawer.
