The non-drive side chainstay braze is funky, the rest seem... utilitatian. That head badge is the thickest I can recall seeing too. Maybe one could rationalize it as the prevailing unprepossessing French aesthetic? Maybe.

In any case I cannot recall ever having seen a racing Pug with chromed head lugs. It looks a little strange to my eye but distinguishes the frame and makes it interesting at the same time.
