Yes it does not look elegant but it solves problem when fork crown has little depth and drilling it looks like a sure way to induce cracking of crown. there is even a plate system for mounting rear brakes on rear brake stay without drilling. Looks awful but no drilling required. Lucky on my Japan built Giro front crown has holes started from the inside out. I think if one rides a track bike to race all brakes have to taken of before racing so these solve that problem. Charles Nighbor Walnut Creek, CA
