Amir, I also have a set of the Zeus - Mafac style calipers. The set I that has the oil holes with brass/bronze bushings. Sometime ago, I did find a refe rence to the early style Mafac-Dural calipers with the oil holes and supp osedly they are from the early 1950's; not sure if this is accurate and i f it also applies to Zeus. I would also assume that Zeus must have contracted with Mafac to make the se calipers or maybe it was Zeus who was the contract supplier to Mafac? Zeus was also a supplier for Campy for a number of items - this always up sets some of the Campy folks since they like to claim that Zeus was a cop y-cat company. Interestingly, Zeus' patent dates for similar items preced e some of Campy's by almost a decade. Do the research! Regards, Scott Edrington

Robert Broderick & Brad Stockwell did great work uploading Zeus catalogs and ads on the Wooljersey site. However their catalogs and ads start in the early 70's.
Zeus was in business from 1926 to the mid-80's. Has anyone ever seen earlier catalogs? Has anyone seen their parts advertised elsewhere, in early Ron Kit, Brown
Brothers, Brugelmann catalogs?
I'm wondering because I have a Mafac caliper look-alike that is not liste d anywhere I know.
