Michael,

Wow. I thought I would never see another one of these. I pretty sure what you have is Sekai 5000. It was likely orignially sourced from Champaign C ycles in Illinios. I know that because I worked there during the early 80' s (81-84). During that time Peter Davis was one of the distributors for Se kai's. As such we were able to specifc paint and chrome for the bikes we s old (to other shops). I personally bought one for myself (wish I still had it). The paint scheme was based on paint schemes the shop collective admi red. We were trying to match the DuPont Imron Dark Met Rose.

Unfortunately the graphics for this bike weren't that interesting. I can t ry to help connect you to the guys at Champaign Cycle if you'd like, there must be some decal set there (we use to have lots).

Thanks for sharing the pics.

It's a beautiful frame in my opinion with Superbe Pro dropouts and nice chromed Prugnat? lugs. Anyways, here's a link to my p ictures. Any help would be nice. I hate having a bike without a name to it.
