This is a bike made in the mid or late 80's by Huffy, who bought the right to use the Raleigh name in the United States. So, it is probably off-topic if one goes strictly by date, but a good argument could be made these Huffy Raleighs are KOF, as they have lugged steel frames, and in this case pretty classic components, no clipless pedals or indexed shifters. About the only non-classic bits are the aero brakes levers, but Shimano AX had such levers already in the on-topic time frame.
I've long thought these Huffy Raleighs are verry much underrated, as many like this one, were very nicely turned out for a moderate priced production bike. The workmanship may indeed have been better than English Raleighs, which were infamous for their inconsistent finish quality.
I've read that the Huffman family, despite the type of bike typically made under the Huffy name, were fans of quality lightweights. Perhaps their purchase of the Raleigh name was an attempt to buy respectability in the lightweight market, just as Raleigh themselves had done two decades earlier with the purchase of Carlton.
For that price, if you think it fits, I'd jump all over it, especially if it is local.
