I just found a 70's fillet brazed Condor. The frame is in excellent conditi on other than having a nickel sized dent in the downtube and, more importan tly, a subtle crimp under the down tube and top tube just behind the head t ube. I would guess this was the result of riding into something head-on.
My LBS says the frame is straight and should ride normal.
What do you guys think - should I have it repaired, or just ride it?
This is the first Condor I've seen in person/owned. It's a simple, but clas sy looking frame. I'm just wondering are these frames valuable enough for m e to invest in the repair. And if so, who I should have do the repair.
Thanks,
