I have some NOS AVA rims to build soon, and will be needing washers. I remember rim washer having a bit of a curve to them to match the rim curvature? Am I wrong? (I hope to be wrong, actually, #8 stainless washers would be SO much easier to locate!)
Just back from a 50 mile ride on my '73 Raleigh Competition on a nice early fall day

I've used new #8 stainless steel washers in old Mavic non-eyeleted tubular rims. They're a perfect fit. They're stamped stainless steel, and I put the smooth edge against the rim.
