Subject: [CR]1961 (?) Bianchi Competizione

After seeing Kevin's 64 Bianchi Specialissima I have to ask some questions about a 1961 Bianchi Competizione I have been restoring. I bought the bike from the original ower who thought he bought it in 1961. The construction is just like Kevin's, seat stays, drop outs, integrated headset, chrome (in cluding the seat tube bans). The decals are slightly different font and th e blue appears to be just a shade lighter. Hubs, derailluers, shifters are the same as Kevin's bike but the crank is a triple with a Bianchi signature steel, three pin cottered style set up. It uses TA rings and seems to be very similar to "Magistroni" references I have seen from the 1958 time peri od. The handle bar and stem are Ambrosio items and look a older than Kevins . The brake claipers are the same bu the levers are a lot more primitve.

So the questions are: Is this likely to be 60-61 vintage? The Seat and se at post where updated, would this bike have a Campy post or would it have m ore likely been a straight post with a seat clamp? And what about the seat , would this have ben Brooks B17 land?

Thanks In Advance for your inputs.
