Im a newbie here hope I get this right.
Ill try and add some info. (confusion?) to the Olmo postings regarding the e-bay listing. I have two Olmos with the same type frame/lugs etc. The first Olmo I bought in 1971 for $15, but it was missing both wheels. I put some nondescript wheels on it and logged on many miles heavy but solid. SN D877
The second Olmo is the same as the one just described, however it is completely original including fenders, steel stamped Olmo hubs w/wingnuts, steel stem and bars, steel Magistroni 49/47 crank set. Simplex (made in Italy) derailleurs. The front being the Competition and the rear the Juy-51. Nisi Toro rims and Sheffield pedals. The seat tube decal looks like the head tube badge, no background. SN E108
I have a third Olmo frame and fork that has different lugs and Campy fork ends same Olmo headset. This frame has the same seat tube decal as the e-bay offering plus a Campy winged wheel above. All 3 frames have a Tipo Rondine decal on the down tube at the head lug. SN D181
Using my 51 Bianchi Paris-Roubaix (8 speed) as a guide, my guess is that the first two Olmos were made between 52 and 54. The third frame, my guess is between 55 and 60. These Olmos are pretty bikes, and great for rides around the block or hang on the wall, but for hours in the saddle, I use a 80 Colnago SN H104, or better yet, the 78 Liotto, no SN.
Thanks Ted, you gave me a bunch new info.
