Tanguy frames were indeed built by Rob Horwitz, who has not been involved with the bicycle business since for many years. At the time, Rob did live and work in Massachusetts. But Rob was originally from the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC, so he had relationships with a couple of shops down here. I suspect the majority of his bikes were sold on M Street in Georgetown. He may also have had some relationships with shops in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as he attended the University of Michigan. It's possible that some list members from that region might have worked with Rob at the local bike repair co-op up there? (This would be during the early 1970s.)
