I cannot find the picture at this time but I did have one showing Greg Lemond with what appeared to be a "Campy" front derailleur and the shot clearly focused on the rear derailleur that was a blue anodized Galli. I have a blue Galli reputed to be that derailleur, who doesn't?
As to the frames ridden by Lemond; As most will know, Greg grew up in the Reno Nevada area. Wasn't Roland Della Santa in that area at one time? That would explain a re badged Della Santa, ridden by Greg Lemond.
I cannot remember for who right now but, I seem to remember that Jim Redkay built bikes for Huffy or Ross teams, rather than under his own esteemed red "K" label. Obviously intended play on words by Mr. Redkay.
To M. Alexander March: Sometimes Americans shy away from European purchases because of the shipping costs. the German postage is the most costly followed by the Brits. Belgium and Italy seem to be most reasonable. France somewhere in the middle. Poland can be pricey as well. Australian can also be costly. Canadian to US is more costly than within US to US.
Americans have been used to the strong dollar in the past. Read that as a price advantage for Americans. With the present weakness of the US dollar many Americans are reluctant to get involved with European post, they have not adjusted to the changing economy of the world. I have a topugh time with it myself.
There may be some lingering fear of be taken advantage of by unscrupulous"foreign" sellers to US buyers. I do not think this is a current issue, but has been in the past. I have had very satisfactory dealings with the European and Australian sellers.
