I get your point Mike. But I'd still say that bike was a bargain. That's one of the best italian racing frames from the prime period for such frames. On that *alone* the bike was a bargain.

I did not mean to imply it was much of a collectible. Unless it was put back to as-original. And even then, it'll never be truly original of course.

I know, for that price, I'd have been happy to have it if it had been my size. My point was, warts and all, it was still a great deal. of course... that does depend on what floats one's boat.

I also agree that whoever had the frame modified should be tarred, feathered, and run out of town. Especially because of that down-tube shifter modification..gah.
