Steven Maasland may have to correct me, but I think it says that Gino gave it to the seller's grandfather, who was Gino's barber, and the seller is putting it up for sale with a broken heart, and that it obviously needs some restoring.
It looks genuine, and the seller himself is in the best position to provide proof of provenance.
I'd go for it if it was within my budget. Alas, it is not.

On Italian ebay is supposedly Gino Bartali's jersey he wore in his 1950 Milano-San Remo victory. At least that is what I think the poor Babelfish translation says. By the looks of the bidding it seems legitimate (it's up to 263 Euros). Is anyone here able to translate a bit better? Is there any reason to think this a forgery? It seems to me the seller is offering no real provenance.
Here is the listing. I am in no way related to the seller.
