Fred, All I know is that the documentation states that this is one of his machines. Helicomatic was a top of the range equipment for 83. It enabled team mechanics to change freewheels fast. As I said this machine came with odd equipment choices. Spidel chainset and front changer coupled to a Top of the range Simplex back. Who knows maybe they were chopping and changing within the confines of team sponsors
equipment. The Chainset is fluted on both cranks and on teh inside as well. You cansee this clearly on my photos. The ITM bar and campag Titanium gears are my additions.
