I need to create some funds for a red and white Bottechia I have my sights on. This bike is just too tempting .. chrome headlugs too ..
So, for sale are a Brookks saddle and a book, about Jacques Anquetil, in mint condition.
The saddle is in quite nice condition, nothing much in the way of scapes and scuffs, just the rear metal badge is missing. Chrome is still nice, saddle is hardly stretched, but rock hard. Needs a lot of hat tender loving care, and oil I guess. The frame has no year stamped into it. Price is $ 40 + 35 Priority basic shipping to the US.
The book is called 'La Legende de Jacques Anquetil', written by Pierre Pelissier, was published in 1997, has 331 pages, and is still in mint condition (only my name scribbled inside the first page). It covers the life and career of Anquetil from 1934 to 1987 ('les Annees apres'), year by year. The book has a wealth of (B/W) pictures, all his results and in general a wealth of information. Very handy if you can read French, cause thats the language its written in. Price is $85 + 35 Priority basic shipping to the US.
