Subject: [CR]Frame Re-Finishing Question

Having recently acquired a frame that needs re-finishing I have a couple questions regarding the process. The frame has been powdercoated. Will beadblasting safely remove that finish? I am assuming that sandblasting would be too harsh to the lug edges. If beadblasting is the way to go, does anyone have a good shop they have worked with in the Orange County, CA area? I'm not too concerned with doing a perfect restoration. I got this LeJeune to set up as a fixed gear. At some point in the frame's life it had braze-on fittings added. Those were removed before I got the frame but the finish in those areas is gone and I'd like to take the chance to get at least a fair finish on the frame while I'm searching for a French headset and BB.

Thank you, Guy Taylor
