Larry, According to Ted Ernst, my Ideor Asso track frame is from '58, which he confirmed as a friend of his has a '58 track frame with close frame numb er. Also, my '58 road frame has a frame # in same ballpark. Will send #' s to you soon. According to this theory, if your number is lower than mi ne (it's before '58), or higher (after '58). Maybe not an exact science, but the best I can offer. Bill Ungar Torrance, CA Hi, Gang-
I am working on my Ideor 'Asso', and a number of questions about it ha ve come to
mind...
1) The serial # is 335077...is it possible to date the bike from this, or is it just
another vintage Italian enigma? 2) It has an early Canpagnolo headset; the only exterior marking is a '6', on one of the
headset adjustable cup's wrench flats- is this of any help? 3) The Magistroni 'Senior' cottered crank arms have a '6' stamped on t he backside of the
l.h. arm. 4) The bike is 'Cromovelato' red- all chrome, w/ red lacquer sprayed o ver it; chrome
lugs, seat tube panel, and forks/stays (1/2 way).
Any insight would be appreciated!
