It was me looking for skewers for the Hi-E hubs on my early 80's Cuevas. I wound up using Axelrodz, which are a similar design but a lot more secure on a rear wheel. I actually have at least one pair like the one on eBay, which I bought from Hi-E a few years ago when they were still open. I've never used them and probably won't. The earlier alloy skewers were a little strange, like everything Harlan did, but these later ones with the plastic wingnuts cross the line from strange to downright tacky.

I remember another style being offered, too, but these would certainly fit the authenticity and period-correctness glove, wouldn't they?
