Is this a great group or what? Four hours ago I didn't even know what a Campagnolo Record front derailleur with a cable stop was. Let alone realised I needed one. Badly. Right away. Now, I have had numerous kind offers of the real thing and kind advice as how I can live a fullfiled life without one.

Actually, it seems to be a British thing. Something which mitigates my thinking only French bikes have "things" to contend with. But lots of the British bikes of the mid '60s have these darned braze ons for front derailleurs with cable stops it seems. And turns out my 1965 Harry Quinn has them too. So good thing I have multiple offers of Campagnolo front derailleurs with cable stops. I may have go out and buy another frame to make use of them all...

But thanks guys for all your help.
