I believe the stem may be powdercoated flat black (didn't come from me with the frame), but the frame is gloss black, probably Dupont Imron, although Brian would be the best one to comment on what paint he used. It has gorgeous gold pin-striping, as good as any I've seen. The head and seatlugs are chromed. Here are a couple of pictures:

I've owned this frame twice and it has been owned by two other listmembers that I know of. I have pictures of it in the original "eggplant" color too if someone wants to see it. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
